Our church looks to the future
Patrington Methodist Church was visited by John Wesley over the 2018 August Bank Holiday weekend! As part of the village Scarecrow Festival, Senior steward Susan Kemp created Mr Wesley preaching outside the chapel – although due to rain he did move into the Porch on Sunday.
There have been Wesleyan Methodists in Patrington for well over 2000 years meeting at first in licensed houses and barns until the chapel was built in 1811. As far as we know Mr Wesley never actually visited the village so we were delighted to have his namesake and the opportunity to tell those who came to see him something of his life. and witness.
